A Note from our founder Sarah…

I wanted to take a moment to share something deeply personal, as it has had a profound impact on me.

On the evening of October 6th, 2023, at 10:29 PM in Los Angeles, I was working late when I decided to check my social media. It was 6:29 AM on October 7th in Israel. What I witnessed in real time will forever be etched in my memory—the brutal massacre unfolding before my eyes, as our brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers, children and babies were attacked in the most horrific way.

That night, my reality—like so many of ours—shifted forever.

I had already been working in the digital space and had always envisioned starting my own design agency to empower the Jewish community, to find my own voice as a Jew on social media, and to fight the rise of anti-Semitism. But after witnessing such unspeakable tragedy, the urgency to take action became even clearer.

I remember sitting with my brilliant mother during that Passover, in front of the TV, asking for her help in brainstorming a name for my new venture. It didn’t take long before she, in the most calm and knowing way, said, “Meesh Meesh.” That was my first "ah-ha" moment.

Growing up in Haifa, Israel, I have vivid memories of eating apricots and collecting the pits to play games with as children. The word "Meesh Meesh" was tied to so many warm memories. It felt like a perfect fit, and the name of the agency was born.

Just two months later, my mother passed away unexpectedly.

With the collective grief of this war, the lives lost, the families shattered, and the heartbreaking loss of my own mother, like many of us, I am struggling to find hope again. To rediscover light, love, and trust. To rebuild community and stay in the light despite the unbearable weight of it all.

Meesh Meesh is connected to something much larger than ourselves, and we will nurture this space with grace, strength, and unwavering purpose.

For my mother.
For the Jewish people.
For Israel.
For humanity.
For Tikkun Olam.

Stay in the light my friends,

Sarah.
